In 1997, Then The Chief Of Staff of The Armed Forces Of The United Arab Emirates. Upon The Opening Of The Club

“This project is the result of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, who sought to provide a modern and fully equipped complex dedicated to the Officers of the Armed Forces of the United Armed Emirates. His support and that of His Highness The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UNITED ARAB EMIRATES Forces, and His Highness Major General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Minister of Defense, secured the implementation of these facilities in an architectural project that has come to represent an Avant Garde Landmark in Abu Dhabi.

To establish this Landmark involved a great deal of effort and many resources and I therefore commend the work of all those responsible for turning this vision into a reality and for making the Officers Club an Oasis for social, recreational and cultural activities.”
