Heritage Village

Situated on a 1600 sq. meter site overlooking the Corniche, near the Breakwater in Abu Dhabi, this heritage village is run by Emirates Heritage Club. Here you can journey to the past and experience traditional life in Abu Dhabi before oil revenues altered the landscape, economically and socially.

During your tour at the heritage village you will find yourself discover the details of the sea & desert people lifestyle, you will see (Bait Al- Sha�ar) a tent made from goat wool, (Al Areesh) the sea house made from palm tree fronds, (Al-Towee)the well, (Al Yazra�a) the old irrigation system and (Al Aflaj) the water channels.

The Museum takes you to the old days by showing the old kitchen utensils, the Arabian coffee pots, folkloric dress, jewelries, collection of documentary photos, pearl trade, divers tools, manuscripts of the holy Quran and collection of old coin & currencies were used in Arab gulf state.

The handicrafts market full of well professional & experienced men who transfer the leather, the wood, the brass, the glass and the steel into a masterpiece, you will see also the women netting and weaving the wool to make socks, carpets, hand backs and trays.

In your way to the old fashion mosque you will be attracted to sit on the traditional sofas also there is place for children to have some fun and play.
